Merry Christmas everyone...............

SO what is christmas exactly? It's Jesus' birthday! Very good.. But it wasn't just His birth.. that's only the beginning......... (sounds familiar? hehe.. A Christmas Tale! Right... thks guys & gals for coming.. especially those who were busy & yet still came.. thank you so much! & i hope u guys enjoyed urselves.. n the cast, u guys did a great job!! wonderful..) ok bck to the story.. yup, God sent His son, for us.. To die, for us.. & He's there.. waiting for YOU..

Yesterday (Christmas Eve) I had Summative 2!!! the day before.. super panic.. i don't seem to know anything! but thank God.. i managed to answer most of the qns.. really God's grace :) at least i can now celebrate christmas (peacefully) before i start to "pia" again for finals! hehe..

&.... i'm going fraser's hill tmr!! i think it's been such a LONG time since i've been there.. it's a family outing thingy.. so it shld be fun!! exchanging presents & all.. i did my last minute christmas shopping after summative 2. like just kinda grabbed everything off the shelf.
oh yeah.. then watched ocean's 12. which was not bad.. george clooney *drool* hahaha.. n as usual i ate A LOT. on top of mc d's value meal.. i had a chocolate sundae.. then i had caramel popcorn. almost the whole bucket!! scaryyyy.........

so.. bon voyage to me.. & my family. i'll be off to fraser's hill in a few hrs.. happy holidays peeps!! *hugs*

2 major-ly embarassing event happened today.. u know what they say abt monday blues? yeah.. i'm getting a bit of that, with an interesting twist. ha!

does anyone believe in retribution?? u know.. "pou ying".. now i do, kind of.. jay & i got ashwin to sing for shangari (we paid 10 bucks ok) hey.. they shld thank me :) haa... but...................................

1st retribution, i was suddenly made an "elf" by some senior.. who dedicated a song to another 2 seniors. whom i don't really know that well.. anyway, i sang today. (big surprise) in front of like a whole lot of ppl.. sheesh.. super paiseh!!!! with the santa's hat and all. hmm, but i got a bar of chocolate in the end! hahaha.. n someone actually said i sang ok. hahaha.. anyway, yeah.. that's what u get when u sabo other ppl..

2nd retribution, ashwin turned the whole thing arnd & our plan backfired..!!! aiks~~ embarassed in front of the whole lecture theatre.. with ashwin & shang singing to me & jay instead of to each other?! so blur.. i was like.. eh???? now ppl thinks there's something going on between me & jay.. aih~

so.. lesson to be learnt: never ever sabo other people. period.

anyway, the 2 new pictures i posted? was taken on chris' birthday.. then last saturday went out with esther & evelynn. esther came bck from NZ!!! :) yup.. so we like practically laughed till the whole restaurant turned upside down.. talking abt the "good ol days" in s'pore.. we had dinner at california pizza kitchen.. superb!! sunday night, went to elaine's church-dumc for 'Forgiven'. nice nice.. then we had lin chee kang @ SS2! hehehe.. then then.. haha.. monday watched shutters. big achievement for me ;) tuesday went "jogging", another big achievement.. haha.. but, more like walking than jogging. wednesday had cf.. celebrated the birthdays of sept-dec babies. had a huge piece of chocolate banana cake.. *drool* thursday i played volleyball!! another big achievement.. hahaha.. but my hands hurt like crazy.. now it's black n blue all over. after that, went for sib's 'Drunk before Dawn' which was soooooo good.. it's a must watch ppl!! right vickie & hendrick? :P then we went for dessert! (vickie n i gave hendrick a cantonese lesson on how to say thank u. heheeh) haha.. my parents came on friday.. so it's been food food food all the way.. *grins* yum.. crabs... crabs & more crabs.. yup so it was a happening wk! n when it's not happening, i'm in the library studying.. or trying to anyway. summative on christmas eve!!!!!!!!! talk abt sadistic. sheesh.. now trying to get repro into my head. whoever said repro was interesting??? it's difficult.. but it amazes me how life is formed.. God is great.. creative.. brilliant!!! all i can say is wow............

i'm in grandma's place.. la la la.. : ) today i woke up like super early! don't know what's wrong with me.. it's a saturday man!!! sheesh.. oh well.. had a long drive.. i think everything's gone haywire today. starting with my early wake, the bad traffic.. on a saturday?!!!

ok ok.. anyway, yesterday was a BLAST!!! IMU's Friday Night Exuberance.. ha! i bet most ppl think of medical students = nerd. yesterday proved otherwise.. whoa.. the acapella grp was superb.. my heart practically melted. n the 'josh groban & charlotte church' of imu were terrific.. oh n the somewhere over the rainbow? goshhh.. n the band!! sound like planet shakers & hillsongs lar! hey u guys were great.. deserve a pat on ur bck *pat pat*

n of course... merengue!! jay, evelyn, jason, se yin & jack!! u guys were *phew it* i'm speechless k.. i'm like, so inspired to go learn latin dance after watching them.. & last but not least!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm so blessed to have such great friends!! after that we went mamak.. like a whole lot of us!! sem 1s. (with emily as honorary guest la) haha.. all the lame jokes & riddles.. hahaha.. vickie u confirm can join the lame club already lar.. :P hehehe..

ok ok.. friday night aside.. haha.. after lecture.. i went home with evelynn cos she wanted to get some stuffs.. then we headed to midvalley. we wanted to go to annalakshimi (it's this northern indian vegetarian restaurant, charity one.. so u can actually choose not to pay, or pay whatever amount u fancy) ok so me & eve (ex-roomate) super crazy abt indian food.. went there. but it was full!! they ask us to come bck later.. soooo.. hehehe.. went to mc d's. cos i wanted to get JACK JACK... so cuteee..... cos on thursday went to watch incredibles!! haha.. not bad lar.. quite nice. i like the characters. anyway, in order to get jack jack u must get a value meal.. so yeah.. i had a heavy lunch.. because after mc d's we went bck to annalakshimi. hahahahaha.. so crazy right!!

my left knee has found a balance

i think my left knee felt a bit lonely, realizing that the right one was nicely coloured purple/green/blue and getting all the attention, it decided to have one just like that! n so now.. ta daaa... a bruise on each knee. both while dancing, cos we;re practicing for "Friday Night's Exuberance"

i only practiced for 15 mins & the nxt thing i know, we're going for an audition in the audi. i was so blur.. we have 10 ppl divided into 2 grps, n those in my grp ffk. left me alone.. haha.. i freaked! i thought they were kidding at first.. sheesh.. s'more i couldn't remember all the steps cos i didnt go for practices last wk. good thing got jay, jason & emily to "teman" me dance.

ok anyway, this morning.. i had to get up reallllyyyy early. 640am. drove all the way to bkt jalil.. the traffic was bad!! haha.. so paiseh, the guys reach earlier than me. cos imu's hosting this thing called "national health sciences debate". so go n help arrange chairs & tables.. haha.. & got a few ppl to be victims as well.. thks guys!! i really appreciate it.. namely, chris, jay, darren, sau tjun. thank you thank you!! anyway, haha.. now i know imu better. all the secret rooms.. but got certificate of appreciation.. so.. not bad lar :)

now i'm really tired & sleepy.. yawn.. mom made me drive bck to grandma's.. cos she's here. haha.. dinner's ready. yum.. that's all for now..

A Tribute to my Grandfather

In loving memory, of my grandfather (1925-2004)

Grandpa, you'll be dearly missed by all of us.. We grieve as humans, but we rejoice as Christians, knowing that you're safe in the arms of the Lord in heaven. I really thank God that he passed away peacefully, without pain. I know this is only a temporary separation and we'll meet again one day in heaven.

God's grace is indeed sufficient. It is a miracle my grandpa did not feel any pain. Doctors were truly puzzled because the CT Scan showed otherwise. God was gracious to allow my grandpa to survive the journey back home, despite the low BP, in a comatose state. There's one verse that says, God will grant the desires of our heart. & God did. My grandpa's wish was to be home. when he reached home, we were all there beside him.. assuring him he was home. & at the last few moments. i think he regained consciousness & acknowledged that he was home, before he passed on peacefully. I also want to give God all the glory for bringing the family closer together.

My grandpa is a very S.I.M.P.L.E person. He doesn't demand much.. Little things can make him happy. He loves umbrellas. I remember me & my family, whenever we see an umbrella, we'll get one for him. & he receives it gladly. & proudly brings it wherever he goes. He doesn't ask for abalone, escargot.. He's satisfied with a simple plate of hokkien mee, steamed angel fish, hot cup of coffee, red bean soup. He is really a simple man, but one who is responsible & honest.

S - Sacrificial, he may be just a bus conductor. But he managed to bring up 6 lovely children, of
which one of them is my mom, a beautiful lady.
I - Independent, he's self-sufficient. He doesn't depend on others. He may not be highly
educated but he has his own principles..
M - Man of God, head of the house. A man that's able to command the respect of people. He may
not be the most refined man on earth, but I respect him for the person he is. I remember,
he always ask us to pray before we eat.. being a young Christian himself.
P - Presto! Fast! That's what he's like. He eats really fast, walks really fast. One of his very vivid
characteristics.. That I'll fondly remember.
L - Loving. He may not seem loving in our present context. But his love is true, especially
toward my grandmother. 55 yrs together! wow.. & he's really cute. he'll hold my grandma's
hands when they walk. an old man.. guys, learn!
Lastly,
E - Everything a grandpa should be. Period.

he always gives one worded answers. & IMU just had to have those irritating buzzers! oh well, but it was pretty ok lar.. thks for all ur prayers ppl! really appreciate them :)

ok, now i'm bck in the com lab.. hmm, my solace. hehe.. i think i need abt a wk, to slowly break the habit i cultivated during the hols.. the unhealthy routine of eat sleep tv computer.

later got dance practice for "Friday Night".. feel a bit lazy.. but i really shld get some exercise..

it's my last day in JB :( that marks the end of my holiday..
reality bites! once school starts.. my results will be out..
& we have an interview session, agh!! i hope i won't be so rigid,
or burst out laughing midway. either way would score me a zero! haha..

this shld also mark the end of my unproductive routine (wake up @ 11am, eat, pc, eat, tv, eat, pc, sleep @ 2am) this wk.
i shld really start studying.. really.. ppl.. haha.. i need ur prayer & support.

a very unproductive day

i woke up real late today.. felt so very guilty. as usual, my alarm has no effect on me. anyway, the moment i woke up, took my bath & my dad said we're going to kwsp, & ic deparmentt.. went to kwsp to get some money to pay IMU. sheesh... then only i realize..... that for my parents to put me into medical sch is not easy. felt so guilty... cos i still have 2 other brothers.. i think they spend almost everything on me.. honestly, i'm willing to give up PMS & go to seremban.. feel so bad that they feel oblige to send me abroad to study.. i'll just trust God will provide & see me through..

then i went 2 city square. haha.. 2 days in a row!! that's the only decent shopping complex in jb btw.. hehe.. wanted to go get a trim. but the boss there was so rude.. i mean really, i think he must've woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something.. like i always say.. if a person can't treat ppl nicely, he don't deserve to be in the service industry. sheesh, anyway, i walked out. good riddance!

anyway, came bck soon after & was glued to the tv for a good 5 hours.. at least! & here i am now.. in front of the computer.. oh, i did study a bit! kidney fx! haha.. not bad eh.. except, i don't really remember what i studied... oops!

oh yeah!! good news.. my grandpa's getting better now.. he's finally willing to be admitted to the hospital!! what a relief! i shld be going bck to kl tmr or friday to see him.. thank you Jesus!! for each day u've brought him through..

miss my bed in jb!! it's so big n nice.. haha.. n my brinjal purple room! don't know what made me paint it that colour. hahaha... but anyway.. had the bestest sleep..

this morning at 8 am!!! i slept at 3 am last night btw, i went for breakfast with hui wearn & nick. hui wearn's leaving for beijing, china tonight! for a 3 mths attachment.. so nice huh.. i also want to go! hehe.. anyway, we had breakfast @ mc d's.. long time didnt eat there d.. it tasted pretty good lar. haha.. i sound so deprived..

then, the moment i reach home, my parents say let's go out for lunch.. haha.. terrible.. then we test drive kia carens. didn't really like it.. not that it matters. haha.. we're not buying it anyway, just browsing for fun. n guess what?? i saw this super chun bright red audi A4, 7 yrs old, only 63k!! it was sooooo nice.. was hinting my dad to get it.. i think my hint didn't get through. hahaha.. oh well.. at least i didnt ast for a bmw!

anyway, i gained weight!! *sigh* i shall start working out starting today. maybe go swimming later. teeheehee.. & sauna & gym.. (u're probably thinking, christine? exercise? yeah.. malaysia's snowing!)

it's sunday

my first blog ; )

reached JB at abt 12+am (technically it's monday) went to church.. pastor preached a really good msg.. inspiring.. i have "places to go & things to do". not meant to just sit arnd & do nothing!
then i went for lunch.. but my aunt called halfway, saying my grandpa's critical. we rushed all the way to setapak.. & spent some time with him. seeing him in that manner makes me really
"sam tong" cos i can't seem to help.. (& my chinese is very lousy, so got limited vocab) anyway, just held his hands.. stroke his legs.. hopefully he feels assured.. & said Jesus is here with u.. regretted i didnt spend more time with him when he was well.. anyway, appreciate ur parents & grandparents while they're still arnd..

guys, do pray for my grandpa.. i'd deeply appreciate it! i think i'll stop here.. *yawn* it's 230am already.. niteS
