(don't get me wrong, these are great...)
OR
the reason why we have this long weekend?
(sleeping in is great too, but so much more than that...)
The Power of the Cross.
What is so significant about the cross?
- it's not just some necklace that Christians wear-
-a cross in itself has no power, it's not protective wear-
-it's about what was done 2000 years ago on the cross that changes everything-
-Christ came to save, to give us life, so that we can live life abundantly-
-His perfect work = gave us the right to be greatly blessed, highly favored and deeply loved-
"You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
-CS Lewis, author of The Chronicles of Narnia-
