Praises

do you like to be praised? :) i like it! let's be honest.. we feel good when people say nice things abt us! cos that's how we're created.. there's this reward system thingy going in our brain.. and there's the emotional part of us that desires for people to praise us.. u definitely don't yearn for people to criticise you! oh my goodness.. NO!

and then, as i had this thought, i felt a bit ashamed. i felt like i was quite "desperate" and "perasan". if u get what i'm trying to say. but! one day.. on the bus, i was listening to Ps AR Bernard preach.. and He quoted this verse, God dwells in the praises of His people. DWELLS! And i just felt like God was saying, you know why you like praises? because, u're made in my image. i like praises, you will definitely like it too! there's nothing wrong with you!

but again, u can't just depend on people's comments to live by.. but you know who u can depend on? God's constant voice, telling you.. He loves you. You are made perfect in Him. You are His child! and.. don't just receive! because God delights in the praises of His people. He dwells where your praises are. so PRAISE Him!!!! :)
