what is endocrinology? beats me. haha.. only 2 weeks of classes!!!!! but it seems
like it's been forever.. the amount of sleep i get is pathetic! haha.. but nevertheless, it's
good to be back in uni.. feeling "useful" again. hehe..
anyway endocrinology is... the study of internal or hormonal secretions and their
physiologic/pathologic relations. CHEEM........... -_-" good thing today's lecture is
by paul jambunathan.. hopefully i won't sleep. haha! had a super busy day...........
PBL, Malaysian STudies (ok i hear giggling somewhere.. it happens to be a FUN
subject ok!!!), CF camp committee meeting, PMS talk, lectures... oh man.. it doesn't
help that we all went for a midnight movie yesterday!! all 12 of us! hahaha.. tsk tsk..
anyway, talking with all these PMS ppl got me thinking of where i really wanna go.
uncertainties, doubts, fear.. etc.. which leads me to the topic of who am i??? what
on EARTH am i doing here? which happens to be in line with this year's CF camp!!!

diagnosis

| Symptoms: | neck swelling, red eye, mild euphoria, frequent phantom pregnancy |
| Cure: | take a few spoons of cough medicine and come back in the morning |
earth to be associated with library books! :-P mild euphoria & phantom pregnancy
are common symptoms though. haha.. considering my moods are like roller
coaster rides & i crave for the weirdest things at times!

and the grand finale.....
*which is quite potong steam actually. haha..
mount kinabalu *cheer*
12 of us! relatively kiasu ppl.. haha.. chose to take the mersilau
trail (even the officer said goodluck) known to be the harder &
longer route to reach laban rata. yea.. it wasn't easy k. 10 mins
of climbing & i was already panting like mad!!!! serious.. but haha.
all glory to God! i thought i was gonna take like 12 hrs. or reach
there @ night while everyone's had their dinner & preparing for
bed. but we managed to reach laban rata in abt 7+ hrs. which is
slightly less than the average 8 hrs! hehehe.. yay!!
our champion was chee (with a sprained ankle, still so fast -_-")
followed by benedict.. so fast until both of them right.. can come
bck down to help slow coaches like me to carry stuffs up. haha!!
the journey up was really nice! (that's the thing abt mersilau)
it's scenic.. reminds me of the sound of music... & also those
nursery rhymes kinda setting. very nice la!! :D we even saw
pitcher plants! huge ones.. n ate raspberries along the way..
yummY!
we stayed the night at laban rata (really cold k!!!! 5 layers of
clothing & still shivering beneath the sheets).. n guess what...
it started to rain!!!!! *sigh* we were suppose to leave @ 2 am
to hike to the peak.. but the guides advised us against it.
5 guys still tried but it was too dangerous.. they had to turn
bck eventually.. sooooo.. we all ended up with a black & white
cert instead of a coloured one! we all vowed to come bck
on 6 march 2007 to complete our climb, haha!!
disappointed but peaceful abt it. i knew God had a purpose for
the weather. i mean, it was a dry season, it shldn't have rained.
God must've protected us from something :)
if it weren't for the amount of work done against gravity &
friction, i don't think any other activity can justify the amount
of chocolate bars, sweets & sweet drinks we took during the
climb. talk abt sinful!!!! *ish*
most of all.. i really wanna thank chris for being such a darling
& great companion! i would not have reached laban rata without
u (not to mention bck to timpohon gate also) *hugs* u're the best!

Pulau Manukan
hee.. a beautiful place indeed!! thks to steph, 25 of us had 2 boats
exclusively booked to bring us from sutera harbour to the island.
talk abt special treatment :D
we went snorkelling! the corals are really beautiful! n then u get
to see fishes swimming arnd, talk abt being close to nature! haha..
the water's so clear.. it's really amazing. even had a starfish
companion! :D thks to chee.. haha.. i "stole" it from him. but then,
sadly.. i couldn't bring it bck cos the seaquest ppl saw it n asked
me to put it bck. so sad.. *sniff* yea.. so i did.. n only to find out!
chee brought bck another one for his sis! haha.. sad la, but i guess
if i brought it bck, quite cruel also.. although i was still debating
in my head why are we still eating fish, seacucumber etc then!!
-_-" haha.. rebellious eh?
went parasailing too.. another favorite!! hehe.. the view is
breathtaking! i'm so privileged to be a child of such a great
& awesome & amazingly creative God!!! it's a masterpiece!

let's jump straight into all the activities!
white water rafting @ padas river
this is one of my favourite!! too bad not all of us could fit into
one raft so we were divided into 2 grps instead. hehe.. i'm blessed
to be grouped with 6 macho & strong guys.. haha.. (cos basically
i just sit there enjoy the scenery & scream when a rapid comes &
become the raft's cheerleader!!) so there's like me (obviously)
chris, chee, drick, liang, dailow & hammy khoo! heh.. so they all
do the paddling while i sit & look pretty! :P no la..
it's really fun! we encountered 5 rapids! we had a terrific guide
(more like NAUGHTY!) keeps pushing us off the raft -_-" says it's
good training in case the boat capsize! hee.. but it's really cool
when u're in the water, brought by the current.. hee.. but i guess
i'm a little lighter than the guys so i tend to float away further
& faster which gets a little scary.
n guess what!!! in the midst of a rapid one of my contact lens
came out!! n since i was wearing coloured contacts *blush* i
look like flotsam/jetsam.. one grey eye, one black eye.. funny!
:s good thing i found a mineral water bottle! ahah! u guessed
right.. i put it in the bottle.. removed the other side too. hehe..
n the guys looked at me incredulously.. "like that also can??!!"
oh oh.. did i forget to tell abt how we got there??? we went in
this ancient train. it's reallly really old!! but quite cool ;)
hehe.. then u get to pass by all the kampung houses along the
way. the journey back was quite interesting! cos me & chris
got separated from the group. we sat with this newly wed
couple from london! (which we met again on pulau manukan)
mr & mrs badger? (i don't know how to spell), n there's this
cute little baby on our left. a friendly baby i must say.. playing
with our hands all the way!

Chapter 2
this is how the story unfolds..
wait lemme think what's chapter 2??? got writer's block! -_-"
airasia's plane ride.
u know i had my expectations to the bare minimum cos chris
was like, don't expect it to be like MAS. haha.. soo.. like really,
i didn't expect much. hmm.. but i was pleasantly surprised! hee
God's favour indeed. all 6 of us got to sit in the AIRBUS 320!
it's super new, super nice. only drawback. there's not much
space for vertically "challenged" ppl like me.. already so susah
u shld see how hendrick slept in the plane! (see if i manage to
get a photo of that!) haha.. n chee's legs.. can't even stretch..
but overall it was a nice flight.. really :D punctual too!! we arrived
@ terminal 2, kk at 0935.. n there we had chris (miss him sooooo
much!!!), gordon, steph, dailow & ahliang to pick us up.. so dai pai
right ;-)
waikiki condominium.
thks to my baby.. 9 of us got a really really nice condominium to
stay in. it's a duplex, very comfortable.. our home for the whole
wk!! :D it has astro!!!! hahah.. that's where we had our smelly
shoes, our monopoly "tycoon" sessions, american idol, noisy wacky
laughing @ each other sessions, trying to stay up late to watch TVB
drama (actually mostly just applies to me), overlooking sugarbun
plaza, tanjung aru beach (can see sunset too!!), and.. man.. the list
goes on la. will miss that place!!!! i'm sure all the other 8 ppl will
unanimously agree :D
and the saga continues.... after my dinner break :P stay tuned

where shld i begin???
i'll give u guys a detailed account (i'll try to make it comprehensive i promise!!) of my
KK trip! hahaha.. let's start with packing..
ahem...
Chapter 1
it all started in JB (i had like 2 roller bags filled to the brim)
the bigger one being the one i intended to bring to KK (it
weighed a whopping 30 kgs mind yoU!!!) anyway, yeah,
everything seemed essential bah! can't blame me ok.. so in
melawati i repacked again.. after my dad commented, u
staying there for a mth or what???? sheesh.... ok so off to
vista i go (my bag is STILL very very heavy) but i was like,
what the heck! until.......... elaine came by. with one hand
carry & a backpack *shucks!!!!* i look like i'm going for 2
mths in comparison to hers. so i repacked agaiN! this time...
to the very minimum *heart crying*
nxt morning, we woke up @ 4 am (cos our flight was @
7 am. p/s: never ever ever put urself through the torture
of early morning flights i tell u!) 5 am the "cabby" was
waiting for us (me, elaine, drick & chee).. to be technically
correct, it was ONE cab & ONE really really old toyota.. ish,
we felt so cheated) it looked quite scary la.. so we decided
to have one guy one girl in each cab just to be on the safe
side u know?? ok.. rewind a bit. i was a bit consoled when
i saw drick's luggage, which was just abt the same size as
mine *phew* i breathed a huge sigh of relief...... not until
i saw chee's bag!! man... i don't know HOW on earth can
someone fit 5 pants, 10 t-shirts, a shoe, a jacket & the many
other things in ONE backpack!!!!!!!! someone pls enlighten me.
:-s it pays to be a scout (a faithful one that is, not like me.
haha.. never thought of rolling & vacuum packing my clothes)
but i was not dismayed! hehe.. after seeing hau chun & chun
peng's bags.. haha!! i'm not that bad after all ;-) 13.1 kg, & they
didn't even charge me extra for it. woo hoo!!
the packing saga.. it was no easy feat! stressful in fact :(
